Agricultural Service Technician

Ernest Doe is the UK’s largest agricultural, construction and ground care machinery dealership, turning over £145m per annum from 19 locations across East Anglia and the South East.

We are looking for an experienced Agricultural Service Technician to join the existing team at our Fulbourn branch, based in Cambridge.

Role Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you required to perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance work on a variety of Agricultural (but not limited to) products sold by the company’s sales departments within its designated area, with particular focus on harvest equipment.

Working within Ernest Doe will give you direct access to the manufactures for support and training, as well as the benefit of working with our own experienced team members. You will be working with brands such as New Holland, Bednar, LEMKEN and many more.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience performing and servicing repairs of combines, tractors and associated products in the Agricultural machinery industry
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulic, mechanical and electrical faults and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal type jobs
  • Knowledge of agricultural machinery or transferable skills
  • High standard of work ethic and attention to detail
  • Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to adhere to health and safety practice and procedures at all times
  • Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
  • Good general appearance
  • Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
  • Full driver’s licence

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    39 hours per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch) Overtime above 39hrs per week will be paid at time and a half
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, depending on experience, plus company vehicle
  • Benefits:
