After an incredible 49 years of loyal service, we bid a fond farewell to Rochford Branch Manager Tim Lawrence, who retired last week.

Tim joined the business in 1977 as a parts apprentice at Rochford and went on to build a long and successful career, becoming Branch Manager in 1999. Over the years, he has played a key role in the success of the branch, helping to grow the business while building strong and lasting relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
Well known for his great sense of humour and the support and leadership he has given to the Rochford team, Tim has been at the heart of the branch across five decades. His knowledge of both the business and the local farming community has been invaluable.

A fitting moment came at this year’s Doe Show, where one long-standing customer chose to mark their final deal with Tim by requesting “Tim’s last deal with W O Watt & Partners” be printed on a Marshall trailer. This gesture reflects the respect he has earned throughout his career.
Tim’s retirement was celebrated at a packed gathering at the Rochford branch, where friends, customers, suppliers and family came together to give him a fantastic send-off.

Tim leaves the branch in a strong position following a record year in 2025, handing over to Mitch Palmer, who steps into the role of Branch Manager after 24 years with the business.
Tim, thank you for your dedication, commitment and contribution over nearly five decades. We wish you a long, happy and well-deserved retirement. You will be greatly missed.
