Agricultural Service Technician

As an Agricultural Service Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our customers by servicing, repairing and maintaining agricultural machinery and equipment. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work on a range of machinery supplied by the company, using your technical knowledge and diagnostic skills to deliver a high standard of service.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a practical, motivated and customer-focused individual who can work confidently both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience within the agricultural industry would be advantageous, but more importantly, you will bring a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering excellent service.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience within the Agricultural industry would be advantageous
  • Ability to diagnose faults using the latest software and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal jobs.
  • Ability to repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with Agricultural or Horticultural machinery and equipment
  • Lifting heavy machinery, applying common sense to items that require the assistance of special tools
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers as required
  • Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to adhere to health and safety practice and procedures at all times
  • Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
  • Self-motivated
  • Good general appearance
  • Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer-facing role
  • Full clean driver’s license

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to candidates’ notice period.
  • Hours:
    39 hours per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hr unpaid lunch) Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, depending on experience (hourly paid) plus company vehicle
  • Benefits:
