Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd has announced a series of changes designed to strengthen its coverage, improve operational efficiency, and provide customers across Essex with greater flexibility and choice.
From this month, the company’s Ulting and Fyfield depots will each represent both Case IH and New Holland tractor brands for the first time.
This enhancement ensures that customers can now access either brand through their local depot, supported by the company’s experienced sales, parts, and service teams.
Angus Doe, Managing Director of Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd, said:
“By representing both brands at two of our key Essex locations, we’re making it easier for customers to access the products and support they need, wherever they farm. These changes are about long-term strength and flexibility, providing a more resilient and efficient service structure across the county.”
As part of this planned realignment, the Braintree branch will close on Friday, 28 November 2025, with its area of responsibility absorbed by the Ulting and Fyfield depots. The company is working with its Braintree team members to retain and redeploy them within its Essex branches, ensuring continuity of knowledge and customer relationships.
Trade and retail customers who currently visit Braintree for country store products, garden machinery, calor gas or hardware and parts will continue to be fully supported through our surrounding branches at Ulting and Fyfield, with additional coverage from Colchester and Rochford. Our online shop, shop.ernestdoe.com, also remains available for convenient home delivery.

With these changes, Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd will move from five to four depots in Essex while maintaining full coverage across the region, with Ulting, Fyfield, Rochford, and Colchester continuing to play key roles in serving customers across agriculture, construction, groundcare and retail.
Rochford and Colchester remain unchanged, operating as New Holland depots.
Angus Doe added:
“Our business has served customers in Essex for more than a century. With farming facing new challenges and wider economic pressures, these changes are designed to ensure we remain a strong, reliable partner for our customers. Our focus is on long-term commitment and sustainability – delivering broader choice, stronger cover, and responsive service both now and into the future, across every part of our business.”
