General Maintenance Person

Reporting directly to the Health & Safety and Facilities Manager, you will be part of a small maintenance team and be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance as and when required.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • To provide general site maintenance as required across the Ulting site, some additional branches and residential properties
  • Opportunity to work on project work and small refurbishments
  • Attend training courses as required by the company to maintain satisfactory levels of compliance and understanding
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area within the workshop
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the company’s Health and Safety policy and follow all company procedures as outlined in the company employee handbook

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience of carpentry, building repairs and painting/decorating
  • Good understanding of general building work
  • Basic plumbing knowledge would be an advantage
  • Able to work alone and use own initiative or work as part of a team
  • Must adhere to all health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Self-motivated
  • Good general level of health and fitness (due to heavy lifting involved)
  • Good general appearance
  • Full clean driving licence
