Calor Gas Delivery Driver and Sales Assistant

Reporting to the Parts & Showroom Manager, your role will be to deliver Calor Gas and other items from our busy parts department, as well as assisting in the Showroom/ Parts Department when required and ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collect and deliver Calor Gas as required to a range of customers
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe vehicle
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers as required
  • Positively promote the Company image and its products
  • Dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis, both face to face and over the phone
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Proactively identify and recruit new gas trade customers and stockists.
  • Must be prepared to work overtime as required to meet the operational needs of the business and ensure timely delivery of all orders.

Role Requirements:

  • ADR licence is desirable
  • Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods
  • Loading and unloading items from the vehicle
  • Full driving licence is required
  • Forklift licence is advantageous
  • Smart, clean and tidy appearance as is a customer facing role
  • Excellent customer service skills as dealing with members of the public and visiting their homes
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • A team player-capable of working alone or with other team staff, but also able to use own initiative
  • Maintain a good general level of health and fitness (be able to lift gas cylinders)

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    39hrs per week basic – 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch), Saturdays as part of rota
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, depending on experience
  • Benefits:
