Horticultural Service Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Horticultural Service Technician to join the existing team at our Fyfield branch, based in Essex.

Role Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, your role will be to repair and maintain a variety of Horticultural machinery (but not limited to) sold by the company’s sales departments within its designated area. You will be working with well-known brands such as Stihl, Honda, Bosch, Husqvarna and many more. Please note that this role will be workshop based.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Utility, Garden and small Agricultural machinery
  • Knowledge of both Domestic Grass Machinery is advantageous
  • Repair and maintain equipment associated with Horticultural machinery
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults
  • Competent in the use of computers
  • Heavy lifting but apply common sense to items that require assistance
  • Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
  • Excellent customer service skills both face to face and over the telephone
  • Be self-motivated
  • Full driver’s licence

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    39 hours per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch)
  • Overtime:
    Paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, depending on experience
  • Benefits:
