Delivery Driver

We are currently looking for a keen Delivery Driver to join the existing team here at our Albourne branch, based in West Sussex.

Role Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of machinery sold by the company as required to a range of customers. You may also be required to install certain machinery as part of the process. This position will also include the responsibility of maintenance within the branch as and when its needed.

Main Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Collect and delivery machinery as required to a range of customers
  • Promote the safe use of machinery and implements to the end users
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe vehicle
  • Dealing with customers on a day to day basis, both face to face and over the phone
  • Identify opportunities and build new relationships with customers
  • Positively promote the Company image and its products
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers as required
  • Good, sound knowledge of groundcare machinery and its equipment would be advantageous
  • A mechanical background would be advantageous
  • Excellent customer service skills as dealing with members of the public and visiting their homes
  • Be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative
  • Must be a team player
  • Smart, clean and tidy appearance as is a customer facing role
  • Full Driving licence is required

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    39 hours per week – 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch) Additional hours as required. Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, depending on experience
