Branch Administrator

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Branch Administrator to assist the team and provide an efficient service at our Ringmer branch, based in East Sussex.

Role Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for providing a first-class administrative service within the branch in addition to maintaining effective and accurate communications between customers and 20 members of staff. You will be working as a Personal Assistant to the Branch Manager, but you must be prepared to assist other departments in the branch as required.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of operating a switchboard, transferring calls, taking messages, etc
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal diplomatically with customers and colleagues in a polite and professional manner
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the business
  • Support the Sales department with producing invoices, delivery tickets, stock checks and attending shows/events
  • Act with discretion when dealing with matters of a confidential nature
  • Good PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and end of day cash returns and banking
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Be organized with the ability to multitask efficiently
  • Have a flexible and approachable manner
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work well with others
  • Be confident and show initiative
  • Professional and tidy appearance

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    40 hours per week - 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch)
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, depending on experience, plus bonus
