Service Technician

Founded in 1898, our family-owned firm supplies a wide range of machinery; from garden mowers and chainsaws to combine harvesters and construction excavators as well as selling a huge selection of clothing, footwear, garden sundries and DIY products across 19 country stores.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Agricultural and/or Construction Service Technician to join the existing team at our Dartford branch, based in Kent.

Role Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, your role will be to repair and maintain all equipment associated with Agricultural and/or Construction machinery that is sold by the company’s sales departments within its designated area. You will be working with brands such as Case IH, Lemken, SIP, Hyundai, Thwaites, Bomag, and many more.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Good knowledge of Agricultural or Construction machinery is advantageous
  • Proven experience within the agricultural or construction industry would be advantageous
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults using the latest software
  • Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Able to work under pressure and to customer demands, including long hours when required
  • Ability to adhere to health and safety practice and procedures at all times
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competent in the use of computers
  • Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
  • Full clean driver’s licence
