Parts & Retail Manager – Fakenham

Founded in 1898, our family-owned firm supplies a wide range of machinery; from garden mowers and chainsaws to combine harvesters and construction excavators as well as selling a huge selection of clothing, footwear, garden sundries and DIY products across 19 country stores.

We are now looking for a Parts & Retail Manager who is keen and driven to embrace the management of the existing parts team at our Fakenham branch, based in Norfolk.

Role Purpose:

Reporting to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the overall efficient running of the Parts department. This will include the showroom and goods inward area, its staff and the overall departmental profitability whilst maintaining effective and accurate communications between customers and the Parts team.

As the Parts Manager, you will be integral to providing support not only internally to our Sales and Service Departments, but to some major key accounts, customers and trade partners. This is a key role in a team of professional people that thrive on working together to provide the best support

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Previous management or supervisory experience is desirable
  • Experience and good knowledge of Agricultural and/or Horticultural products and parts is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can remain calm under pressure
  • Be organized and have the ability to multitask efficiently
  • Proactive and methodical in approach to problem solving
  • Act with discretion when dealing with matters of a confidential nature
  • Work towards targets and objectives set
  • Able to work alone and on your own initiative
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good IT skills

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate or subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    42.5 hours per week – 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch) Additional hours as required to include alternate Saturdays and peak times e.g. harvest
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, depending on experience, plus a profit related bonus
  • Benefits:
