Construction Area Sales Manager

Ernest Doe is the UK’s largest Agricultural, Construction and Groundcare machinery dealership, with 19 locations across the South and East of England.

Due to an internal promotion, we are currently seeking a keen and enthusiastic Construction Area Sales Manager to join the team at our Wymondham Branch, based in Norfolk.

Role Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sale of Construction equipment, both new and used in your designated area.  In the main, your role involves selling to the already established customer base covered by the branch, although there is an element of ‘cold calling’’ in order to promote Ernest Doe and encourage new business.  This will include working with brands such as Hyundai, Thwaites, Bomag, Atlas Copco and Epiroc amongst others.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Good, sound knowledge of the Construction industry and its equipment
  • Proven sales, service, or parts experience
  • Excellent customer service skills face to face, over the telephone and electronically
  • Target driven with the ability to upsell to achieve and exceed targets
  • Be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative
  • Has the ability to be influencing and persuading and able close a deal
  • Have the ability where necessary to operate and demonstrate equipment
  • Highly organized with good time management
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Full driving licence is essential

Additional Information

  • Start Date:
    Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours:
    42.5 hours per week – 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch).  Additional hours as required which may include weekends as per rota, especially during peak periods
  • Salary:
    £Competitive, depending on experience, plus commission and company car
  • Benefits:
