The Doe Show is the UK’s largest agricultural, construction and groundcare dealer show, featuring new machinery, working demonstrations and plenty of great bargains in the shop-soiled and used equipment sections.
The 59th Annual Show proved a tremendous success with record visitor numbers and sales figures alike! With large display areas devoted to New Holland and Case IH, as well as key agricultural, construction and groundcare machinery manufacturers, including Hyundai, Lemken, Shelbourne Reynolds, SIP, Manitou, Dal-Bo, Ransomes Jacobsen, Trilo, Wiedenmann, Wessex, Thwaites, Bomag, Atlas Copco, Epiroc and Marshall Trailers, there was something to appeal to everyone.
The vintage tractors were put through their paces out in the demonstration field and proved as popular as ever – tractors included a 1923 Fordson Model F, a 1931 Case Model C and a 1961 Doe Triple D. The 4×4 track was also a highlight with various all terrain vehicles and quad bikes being pushed to their limits and plenty of spectators watching on with interest – we can’t help thinking they would all have jumped at the chance of having a turn, judging by the smiles on their faces as the vehicles zipped by!
Over in the country store, business was brisk with lots of interest in the new clothing and footwear labels that are now stocked including Schoffel, Harkila, Alan Paine and Aigle, as well as regular favourites such as Joules, Barbour and Le Chameau.
The show closed at 4pm on Thursday 7th February and we are already planning for the next one …. the Diamond Anniversary event marking 60 years of the Doe Show! What will we have in store and how can we improve on this year’s event? You’ll have to come along and see for yourselves at the 60th Annual Doe Show – 4th, 5th and 6th February 2020 – see you there!
