We have an opportunity for a HGV Class 1 Driver at our Littleport Branch

HGV Class 1 Driver – Littleport

.

Role Purpose:

Reporting to the Transport Manager at Ulting, you will be responsible for the assigned driving duties at our Littleport branch.

The successful candidate will require a full and clean HGV Class 1 Driving License to drive a six wheel unit and trailer when required.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Carry out all driving duties on a day to day basis as required
• Early starts maybe required to accommodate traffic conditions and in accordance with health and safety requirements
• Monitor and adhere to current driving legislations
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers as necessary for the needs of the business
• Ensure Company vehicles provided are kept clean and maintained in accordance with Company Policy
• Familiarise and adhere to all company policies

Essential Skills/Experience:

• HGV Class 1 clean Driving License
• Lorry loader crane certificate would be an advantage but training will be provided
• Forklift truck license desirable but not essential as training will be provided if necessary
• CPC desirable but not essential as training will be provided as appropriate
• Excellent customer service skills with both internal staff and external customers and well presented, as a customer facing role
• Administratively organised
• Be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative

Additional Information

Start Date:                        February - but subject to replacement of existing role if successful

Location:                          Littleport Branch, Ely, Cambridgeshire

Hours:                              39hrs per week, 7.00am to 4.00pm - Monday to Thursday, 7.00am

                                       3.00pm Friday.  Overtime will be paid at time & a half in excess of 39hrs Mon -Fri

Contract:                           Permanent, Full Time

Salary:                              Dependent upon experience
